Hi Everyone:
I hope you all had a great summer and enjoyed all the
fabulous tennis. I wanted to send a
special thanks to Shelley Bates as our president this year. She worked very hard organizing everything
and did it all with a smile on her face.
I presented Shelley with a special gift on everyone’s behalf. It is a sterling silver box engraved with
2007 WOWTL President – S. Bates. I
figured she could put all of her tennis medals in it, or all the jewelry Dave
buys her (just kidding)!
I hope everyone had a great time playing in the
leagues. I watched (I couldn’t
participate) in the tournament this year, and it looked like everyone had a
wonderful time. Some absolutely
phenomenal tennis took place at the tournament. The luncheon was awesome as always, with a lot of laughs and
recognition.
Please look to our website that Jane Hines is always
updating and is recreating. Jane spends
so much of her time helping WOWTL that I feel our organization can never thank
her enough. Jane has posted all the
summer information including tournament information.
Please let Shelley know if you are willing to help in any
capacity in the spring. It really needs
the support of its members. She will be
announcing her board very shortly.
